TransportationAs part of the benefits package at MGH, employees have the option of purchasing a discounted monthly pass ($40 per month) on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA; public transportation including subways & buses). If you will be commuting to MGH, a MBTA is the cheapest and quickest way to get across the city. Inform your MGH benefits officer that you’ll require a ‘Charlie card’ (MBTA pass) and one will be mailed to you by human resources. Human resources will then be responsible for paying out the monthly fees for the card directly to the MBTA from your salary.
