Schedule
The Summer Social Club daily schedule begins with structured small group games and activities which children choose from. Following this period there is an all group meeting where games, stories, and music are used to foster group cohesion and conversational skills. Next we have a period of movement and relaxation training targeting physical and emotional regulation needs. After this, there is a small group discussion and instruction period focusing on a specific social skill. Practice and reinforcement is provided through role plays, games, crafts, and other fun, hands on activities. Afterward, we eat lunch (supplied from home) / or snack (supplied thru the program) together, and with adult support foster conversational and friendship building skills. Finally, we close with another whole group meeting, an activity, and a review the day’s events and a preview of upcoming events.
