Asperger's Association of New England (AANE)

The Asperger's Association of New England (AANE), an organization made up of individuals with Asperger's Syndrome, their family, friends and professionals, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with Asperger's and related conditions.

Children's Group Therapy Association (CGTA)

The association functions as a support system for group therapists and as an advocate for quality group services for children, adolescents, and parents. The Association provides training opportunities and informational services to practitioners.

Other Massachusetts General Hospital/Partners Programs

LADDERS

The LADDERS physicians are expert in diagnosing and dealing with the full range of neurological developmental disorders. A major strength of the program beyond diagnosis is the development of comprehensive and effective rehabilitation plans for each patient that are communicated to the family and the referring physician.

Psychiatric and Neurodevelopmental Genetics Unit

HIGH-FUNCTIONING AUTISM/ASPERGER SYNDROME STUDY: Neurobiology and Genetics of Autism and Related Disorders. The goals of this research are to better define the boundaries and clarify the distinctions between HFA and AS, as well as to identify familial patterns of inheritance in these two disorders. We are currently enrolling families with at least one child between the age of 6 and 21 years with a diagnosis of High Functioning Autism or Asperger syndrome (IQ > 70), and no other significant disorders.

Learning Disorders Unit

The Learning Disorders Unit combines the efforts of neurology, psychology and special education in the diagnosis and management of learning disorders of all types.

Camp New Connections at McLean Hospital

Camp New Connections, based out of the Center for Neurointegrative Service (CNS) at McLean Hospital, is a six-week, summer day camp that serves children with Asperger's disorder and related disorders, ages 9 through 17.

School Psychiatry Program and Mood & Anxiety Disorders Institute

This resource center provides information for parents, educators, and clinicians to enhance the education and mental health of childen and adolescents. It provides information on autism spectrum, mood, and anxiety disorders; screening tools and rating scales; treatment options and recommended interventions; and more.

YouthCare's Partners

PsychData

The PsychData website was designed and is co-owned and operated by a licensed psychologist (who has worked with YouthCare) specifically to support Internet-based social science research. YouthCare is conducting a system analysis of school districts' service delivery to students with ASD and is utilyzing PscyhData to collect survey data. The system analysis involves both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.

Symtrend, Inc.

The SymTrend© treatment support system is an innovative way of obtaining and using the information people need to improve personal and mental health. It combines the power of the Internet, of PDA (personal digital assistant) technology, and of advance statistical methods to form the first comprehensive treatment support system for mental and behavioral health care. YouthCare's Behind the Scenes Teen Program piloted the program last summer to to record and analyze anxiety, flexibility, and much more.
