a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and
visitors of the MGH.
To direct people through the hospital and respond
to reasonable needs of patients, visitors, and family
members.

| Qualifications: |
- Strong interpersonal
skills.
- Customer service
focus.
- Ability to give
clear and concise directions and information.
- Ability to comfortably
push a patient or visitor in a wheelchair.
- Ability to spend
long amounts of time on your feet.
- Familiarity with
MGH a plus.

& Times Needed: |

Monday through Friday
9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
12:30 PM - 3:30 PM
3:30 PM - 6:30 PM

| Duties
/ Responsibilities: |
- Give accurate information
and directions to patients, visitors and family
members, using direction sheets.
- Provide written
directions and maps when necessary.
- Defer requests
that require using patient information systems
to Information Desk Ambassadors.
- Transport patients
and visitors in wheelchairs as necessary.

- Respect patient
confidentiality.
- Volunteers must
respect patient rights and confidentiality.
- Volunteers must
wear their volunteer jacket and badge at all
times.
