Cathy Kwesell is nominated by the Volunteer Department staff. Cathy came to us in March of 2001. She told us that she wanted to "make a day of it", as she would be commuting from the Cape to MGH. Soon after she started, we knew we had a star. Cathy's approach to patients is a joy to see. Her gentle reassurance to them when they are lost or while she is waiting with them at the end of a discharge is seen as the calm during the Friday afternoon storm. We are thankful for Cathy's commitment to not only her duties in Discharge but also for the positive attitude that she brings to the main lobby. Cathy's volunteer career hours total 310 to date.
