Dr. Jaff was appointed Medical Director of the Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory in 2004. He is the director of the Vascular Ultrasound Core Laboratory, the largest clinical device research ultrasound laboratory in the World. The laboratory was founded in 1997, and has participated in over 35 clinical device trials.
His interests include the non-invasive evaluation of patients with vascular diseases; carotid, renal, and lower extremity arterial diseases; venous thromboembolic disease; and novel pharmacotherapeutic strategies for vascular disease.
Dr. Jaff is particularly interested in the safety and durability of endovascular devices (predominantly stents) used as therapy for peripheral vascular diseases. He is also the current principal investigator for a therapeutic angiogenesis trial for the treatment of intermittent claudication.
