Biography
Dr. Amy Devaney, a native of Natick, Massachusetts is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast who found her passion in physical therapy while being a patient herself recovering from a knee injury her senior year in high school. She left the Northeast for her college years and received a Bachelors of Science from Elon University in North Carolina in 2007. While in school, Amy was a competitive Cross Country and Track and Field participant in the events of 3000m, 1500m, steeple chase and 4x800m relay and continues to compete in long distance races today, including the Boston Marathon.
Despite the warm weather and friendly faces in North Carolina, Amy found herself back in Boston for Physical Therapy School. She received her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2010. Her experience has included a glimpse into all areas of PT practice yet her passion is for Orthopedics Sports Medicine and Manual Therapy of the spine, lower extremity and the shoulder.
Amy is a firm believer in life balance and enjoys the outdoors, biking, running, yoga, golf, and spending time relaxing with family and friends.
