Biography

Dr. Theodore is a native of Boston, and a graduate of both Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. He served as the Chief Resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and later completed a fellowship at the Brigham & Women's Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Theodore's interests include knee, ankle, and foot surgery, with a focus on sports-related injuries. He is a nationally recognized expert in the management of injuries in professional athletes and dancers and has treated some of the top athletes in the United States. He is also an expert in cartilage injuries, ligament injuries, and extracorporeal shockwave treatment. He has appeared on the Today Show, as well as various cable and local television programs. He has been featured in USA Today, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Forbes Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Women’s World, and National Public Radio. In 2005, he was named a top orthopaedic foot and ankle specialist by Boston Magazine.

Dr. Theodore serves as Team Physician for the Boston Red Sox, and was part of the medical staff of the 2004 and 2007 World Series Championship Teams. He is also a consultant to the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and New England Revolution. He is a faculty member of the Massachusetts General Hospital Sports Medicine Fellowship Program, and is Director of the Sports Medicine Foot and Ankle Service.
