Dr. Jerabek grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Superior. After receiving the Wisconsin All-State Academic Scholarship, he attended the University of Wisconsin where he studied biochemistry and graduated with Honors. He attended medical school at the University of Michigan graduating cum laude. While at the University of Michigan, he received the Larry S. Matthews, MD Orthropaedic Surgery Award, which is given to the outstanding student in orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Jerabek moved east to Boston and completed his residency training at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Program. As a resident, he became interested in the biomechanics and reconstruction of both native and replaced joints. Therefore, for his first fellowship, he trained in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement last year at the Hospital for Special Surgery where he received the Clinical Excellence Award. He has returned to Massachusetts General Hospital for his second fellowship, in Sports Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Jerabek enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer and daughter Emerson, as well as skiing, working on cars, and photography.
