MGH Sports Medicine Service

The MGH Sports Medicine Service physicians provide medical care to people at all levels of activity and to athletes at all levels of participation – recreational, high school, college, professional, and elite.

Physicians and therapists in the unit are nationally recognized for their expertise in the management of athletic injuries. Specific areas of interest are injuries to the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle. Specialized skills in arthroscopic surgery; knee, shoulder, and elbow reconstruction; and rehabilitation are strengths of the surgeons and therapists associated with the MGH Sports Medicine Service.

Because of our physicians' expertise the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Bruins and the New England Revolution turn to us to provide and coordinate their medical care. Members of our staff have also served as physicians for the United States Olympic Team and are all on the faculty at Harvard Medical School.

The MGH Sports Medicine Service has the depth and expertise to help people at all levels of activity reach their maximum potential in life.
