This section of the web site describes mental health conditions, or disorders, commonly seen in children and adolescents. The information about each disorder provides answers to three questions:

• What is the disorder?
• What does the disorder look like in children and adolescents (at home, at school, and at the doctor's office)?
• How is the disorder treated (counseling, medications, and interventions at home and at school)?

The mental health conditions described are:

• anxiety (generalized anxiety disorder)
• separation anxiety disorder

• obsessive-compulsive disorder
• depression
• bipolar disorder (manic depression)
• attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
