Lynda Banzi Sponholtz
Director
Prior to joining the MGH team in 2000, Lynda served on the staff of International Medical News Group, in Rockville, MD. Her background includes work in editorial photography, exhibit design, and video production. She is the President of the Association of Biomedical Communications Directors and a member of the Society for the Arts in Healthcare.
Lynda's creative work has been exhibited at the Griffin Museum of Photography, WGBH Boston, the Photographic Resource Center, the Artists Foundation, GASP, and the Ayer Lofts Gallery.

Susanne Loomis
Project Coordinator
Susanne has been a member of the REMS team for nine years. She received her Master of Science degree in Cross-Disciplinary Studies from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1997. RIT is also were Susanne was a professor in the Department of BioMedical Photographic Communications for four years. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in that department in 1987 and went on to work as a Medical photographer for Tuskegee University's School of Veterinary Medicine, before returning to RIT. Susanne also has two other bachelor degrees in Fine Art Photography and Health and Physical Education.
Sue's areas of expertise include all aspects of still and digital photography, computer-generated graphic arts and design, and tutoring clients in PowerPoint and Photoshop. She coordinates all work sent to REMS as well as managing the department's computer and equipment issues.
Susanne has been a volunteer member of the MGH Hazmat Team for three years. She is also a member of the RACE/REACH Team within the department.
Sue has been an active member of the BioCommunications Association (BCA) since 1985. She is currently a member of the Endowment Fund for Education (EFFE Committee). Sue has also been member of the governing body of the BCA, the Board of Governors also the Director of COPE (Committee on Professional Education), Vice Chair of the New England Chapter, the Co-Director of BioImages, Director of the Nominations Committee, Clerk of the House of Delegates and Chair and Vice Chair of two other Chapters. She has taught four workshops, and presented numerous times at the international meetings of the BCA as well as having images accepted to the juried BioImages salon. She has also taken the group photo for many of the International meetings.
Susanne is also involved in human and animal rights as well as environmental issues.

Laurie Lizotte
Medical Photographer | Graphic Designer
Laurie joined the MGH team in 1988 as a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology's BioMedical Photographic Communications Program. She graduated from Rhode Island School of Design's Computer Graphics Print Production Certificate Program in 2005. Professionally Laurie has watched Mass General Imaging go from analog to digital.
Laurie is an active member of the BioCommunications Association as well as Chairperson of the BioCommunications Association's New England Chapter. She is also an active member of CIPNE (Commercial Industrial Photographers of New England and NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) where she gains skills from the wide variety of local and national professionals in the fields of Photography and Graphic Design.
Laurie's areas of expertise are in Photography and Graphic Design. Her personal work is created using conventional photographic equipment. Close-up and macro photography are her specialty, which she enjoys entering into competition on the local and national level.

Eleni Balasalle Production Associate
Eleni came to the REMS team from The Weekly Dig newspaper where her responsibilities included digital artwork and photo shoots for features. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a major in Studio Art and Art History, her special interest was in printmaking. She continues to pursue this interest and has exhibited her prints in juried shows. While in college, Eleni served as a librarian for the Visual Resources Department. She also brings extensive experience as a photography lab technician and freelance photographer to her role at REMS.
In addition to her art interests, Eleni is pursuing advanced studies in graphic design and photography.

Fabiola L. Khan
Conference Coordinator & Media Lab Assistant
Fabiola joined REMS in February 2008 and previously was employed at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where she coordinated conferences for the Department of Nutrition in conjunction with Harvard Medical School Department of Continuing Medical Education. She earned a Masters degree in Multinational Commerce and a Bachelors degree in History and Italian Literature both from Boston University.
Fabiola is the course coordinator for several CME courses for Mass General Imaging, helps to facilitate our Grand Rounds program, and assists with various projects at REMS.
