We've got a whole new image:
We're pleased to announce that as of Sept. 15, 2009, the Department of Radiology will be known as Massachusetts General Hospital Imaging.
We are making this change as the result of careful research and analysis that considered the perspectives and preferences of our referring physicians, our patients, and our employees. The technology we use for diagnostic imaging has expanded well beyond the traditional meaning of "radiology," so today and going forward "Imaging" best expresses the breadth of services and expertise we offer to you.
You will see "Mass General Imaging" (or just "Imaging" for short) in effect across this site, and visitors to our convenient locations will soon see updated signs featuring our new name.
Although our name is changing, we remain as committed as ever to delivering the clearest picture of every patient's health.
