Paul Yu, MD, PhD, of the MGH Cardiology Division, has received a Technology Investigation Award from the Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center for his proposal, "The Role of Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP) Signaling in Calcific Vascular Disease." This $40,000 award will help fund studies on the role of BMP signaling in atherosclerotic and calcific vascular disease and to assess the commercial potential of therapies that inhibit BMP signaling.

The MGH Disparities Solutions Center (DSC) has been honored with a Community Leader Award from Health Care for All, an organization dedicated to creating an affordable, accessible and culturally competent health care system. The DSC was selected for its commitment to providing essential research, education and training in eliminating racial and ethnic health care disparities.
