  • Promoting patient safety at the MGH
    The MGH/MGPO Center for Quality and Safety (CQS) and the Patient Care Services (PCS) Office of Quality and Safety promote patient safety and quality health care across the hospital. Recently, staff from both offices celebrated National Patient Safety Awareness Week by hosting an information table in the Main Corridor March 3 and 5.
  • ED area name changes
    In conjunction with Emergency Department (ED) reconfiguration efforts, many treatment areas in the ED will undergo a name change beginning March 18 to better reflect the type of care provided in each area.
  • Partnering for academic success
    What is the connection between someone's personality and their handwriting? How do different colors affect human memory? Will grass grow if the seeds are put in the microwave first? More than 100 such questions were answered at the annual science fair at the James P. Timilty Middle School in Roxbury Feb. 5.
  • Making one last dream come true
    Camelia Rodriguez had long pictured her wedding day: the white dress, the flowers, the celebration surrounded by family and friends. Most of all, she was looking forward to becoming the wife of Jorge Estuardo, her partner of more than eight years.
  • Go red for healthy hearts
    MGHers joined in the fight against cardiovascular disease — the number one cause of death for women in the United States — by participating in the American Heart Association's annual "Go Red for Women" campaign during the first week of February.
