Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will offer the following events: hypertension screenings and blood pressure checks Dec. 3, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Hill House, 127 Mt. Vernon St.; a screening of the film "Hairspray" Dec. 4, from 1 to 3 pm in the Haber Conference Room; a guided tour of the West End Museum Dec. 5, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm; and the lecture "Aging Successfully" Dec. 6, from 11 am to noon in the Haber Conference Room with guest speaker Maryellen Rota, vice president of Partners Home Care. All events are free. Registration is required for the film screening and museum tour. Museum tour participants can meet at 165 Cambridge St. at noon for shuttle service to the museum. Budget Creation for Clinical Research
The MGH Clinical Research Program will host "Budget Creation for Clinical Research: Possibilities and Pitfalls" Dec. 17, from 3:30 to 5 pm in the Simches Research Center, Room 3110. Douglas Reichgott, Clinical Research manager for Partners Research Ventures and Licensing/Corporate Sponsored Clinical Research, will be the guest speaker. To register, visit

Volunteer Recognition Week
In honor of Volunteer Recognition Week, the MGH Volunteer Department will offer volunteers special pins marking their hours of service to the hospital. Volunteers can pick up their pins Dec. 3 through 7, from 8:30 am to 7 pm at the Volunteer Services Department in the Gray/Bigelow Basement, Suite 015. Expanded services at Backup Childcare Center
The MGH Backup Childcare Center has changed its opening hour to 6:45 am to accommodate starting shifts at the hospital. The center also now is accepting babies of 12 months of age, with the goal of caring for younger infants in the future as staffing allows. EAP holiday resource tables
The Partners Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is offering holiday resource tables Dec. 11, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at CNY Building 149, Atrium Lobby; and Dec. 19, from 2 to 3:30 pm in the WACC Lobby.
