Medicare and clinical research seminar
The MGH Clinical Research Program will sponsor "Medicare and Clinical Research: Understanding What Medicare Will Cover in Drug and Device Trials" Nov. 14, from 3:30 to 5 pm in the Simches Research Center, Room 3110. Catharyn Gildesgame of Partners Corporate Sponsored Clinical Research and Gretchen Brodnicki of Partners Research Compliance will be the guest

MGH/MGPO audit
Beginning Nov. 12, the MGH/MGPO will hold its first clinical systems audit. The audit will review all employees who have access to the Longitudinal Medical Record (LMR) and the Clinical Data Repository (CDR). Managers who supervise employees with LMR or CDR access will receive an e-mail Nov. 12 with a link to the clinical systems audit website. Managers will need to indicate whether access should be removed for each employee. The review period ends Dec. 7. CIMIT Innovation Congress
The Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology (CIMIT) will host the CIMIT Innovation Congress Nov. 13 and 14 at the Back Bay Events Center in Boston. Victor J. Dzau, MD, chancellor of Duke University and president and chief executive officer of Duke University Health System, will be the keynote speaker. CFD Facultyfest
The MGH Center for Faculty Development (CFD) will host a Facultyfest open house Nov. 13, from 3:30 to 5 pm in the Thier Conference Room. The event will allow faculty to meet one another, network and learn about many resources available at the hospital. Representatives from offices including the Professional Benefits Office, Treadwell Library, Employee Assistance Program, Partners Child Care Services and others will be available. Ovarian Cancer Education Awareness Network
The Ovarian Cancer Education Awareness Network (OCEAN) at the MGH is a volunteer support organization founded seven years ago by MGH ovarian cancer
survivors, their families and friends to promote awareness, education and research for ovarian cancer. For more information about OCEAN or ways to

Degos Disease conference
The MassGeneral Hospital for Children Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, the MGH Division of Rheumatology and the American College of Rheumatology will co-sponsor the "International Symposium on Degos Disease and Related Vasculopathies" Nov. 9. The symposium will take place from 1 to 6:15 pm at the MGH and will continue at the Boston Convention Center from 7:45 to 9:30 pm. Registration is required for the evening session.
