MGHers have a heart for cardiovascular research

More than 300 walkers from the MGH community participated in the 2007 American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Walk Sept. 15. This year, the AHA dedicated the walk to Peter Michael Yurchak, MD, of MGH Cardiology. Yurchak, who died July 30 of pancreatic cancer, was a gifted cardiologist and teacher to hundreds of medical students and colleagues. More than $66,000 was raised to support cardiovascular research at the MGH.
