  • The MGH celebrates its Latino employees
    The national theme of Latino Heritage Month 2007, "Hispanic Americans Making a Positive Impact on American Society," holds special relevance for the MGH, where Latinos represent the fastest-growing segment of the hospital's workforce.
  • Halloween spirit at the MGHfC
    Dancing angels, bees, witches, kittens, tigers and even robots could be seen Oct. 16 on Ellison 18 at the MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC).
  • Three MGHers named distinguished AAAS fellows
    The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has awarded three MGH staff members the distinction of AAAS fellow: Emery N. Brown, MD, PhD, of the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care; Jeffrey A. Gelfand, MD, of the Division of Infectious Diseases; and James F. Gusella, PhD, director of the MGH Center for Human Genetic Research.
  • Open enrollment to begin
    Open enrollment will begin Oct. 28 through Nov. 18, giving all MGH and MGPO staff the opportunity enroll in or change their benefits. Employees will receive a package in the mail that includes an open enrollment newsletter, medical comparison chart, rate sheets and enrollment instructions.
  • Genetic testing for breast cancer
    With October recognized across the country as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, increased attention has been brought to a variety of breast cancer related issues.
