Survivors spread the word about ovarian cancer
Educating MGHers about the symptoms, testing options and treatment of ovarian cancer was the goal of a Sept. 27 information table sponsored by OCEAN (Ovarian Cancer Education Awareness Network) at the MGH Cancer Center. OCEAN is an organization founded seven years ago by MGH ovarian cancer survivors and their family members. In addition to its public awareness campaigns, OCEAN also has organized a number of successful fundraisers, including an annual road race and a golf tournament, to raise support for cancer research.
