Harland Winter, MD, of the MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC), received the 2007 Treatment Guided Research Excellence Award from the Autism Society of America. The award is given to a professional in the field of treatment-guided research in autism who has made an outstanding accomplishment contributing to the lives of individuals with autism and/or to the cause of autism. Winter received the award for his collaboration with Tim Buie, MD, of the
MGHfC, and Rafail Kushak, PhD, of MGH Medicine, to create a network of treatment centers where children and adults can receive care from providers with autism expertise.
