Clinical systems audit
Beginning Nov. 12, the MGH/MGPO will hold a clinical systems audit. The audit will review employees with access to the Longitudinal Medical Record (LMR) and the Clinical Data Repository (CDR). Managers who supervise employees with LMR or CDR access will receive an e-mail Nov. 12 with a link to the clinical systems audit website. Managers can view a list of staff with current LMR and CDR access and will need to indicate if any access should be removed. The review period ends Dec. 7. Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host the following events: a film screening of "Some Like it Hot" Oct. 17, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Haber Conference Room; a presentation of "When the Golden Years Don't Feel So Golden: Understanding Depression" Oct. 18, from 11 am to noon in the Haber Conference Room with guest speaker Mary Lussier-Cushing, APRN; a memoir writing workshop Oct. 22, from 11 am to noon at the West End Library; and a flu clinic Oct. 22, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the West End Library. Human studies protocol lecture
The MGH Clinical Research Program will host "What Does the IRB Really Want? How to Write a Human Studies Protocol" Oct. 24, from 4 to 5 pm at the Simches Research Center, Room 3110. Elizabeth Hohmann, MD, chair and director of the Partners Institutional Review Board (IRB), will present. Eldercare series
As part of its Conversations with Caregivers eldercare series, the MGH Geriatric Medicine Unit will host "Care at Home" Oct. 16, from 5:15 to 6:30 pm in the

Mind body seminar
The Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at MGH will offer "Mind Body Strategies for Successful Aging" Oct. 15, from noon to 1:30 pm at the institute at 824 Boylston St., Chestnut Hill. United Way campaign
The MGH's 2007 United Way campaign will kick-off Nov. 8 with a celebration in the Bulfinch Tent from 11:30 am to 2 pm. More information will be available in future issues of MGH Hotline.

Breastfeeding seminar
The Partners Employee Assistance Program will sponsor a "Nourishing Your Newborn" seminar Oct. 16, from noon to 1 pm in the Bulfinch Building, Room 222. Smoking cessation program
The MGH Tobacco Treatment Service will offer a seven-week smoking cessation program Wednesdays beginning Oct. 31 at 5:30 pm. Topics will include preparing to quit, coping with stress and preventing weight gain. Low-cost nicotine patches and/or gum will be available with written approval from a primary care physician.

Vincent Club benefit
The Vincent Club, which supports the activities of the MGH Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology Service, will host a vendor show at Vinique Boutique, 71 Brimmer St., Boston. The event will be held Oct. 26, from 10 am to 4 pm with a Sip and Shop from 5:30 to 8 pm; and Oct. 27, from 10 am to 4 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door. All proceeds benefit the MGH Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology Service.
