New Chemical Biology website
MGH Chemical Biology invites all MGH researchers interested in chemical biology to share their input on a new website for the MGH chemical biology community. The site can be accessed at chemicalbiology.mgh.harvard.edu or chembio.mgh.harvard.edu. Investigators are encouraged to fill out the form on the main page to share their thoughts on possible helpful features for the site. Information gathered will be used for future web content development.

Conversations with Caregivers
As part of its Conversations with Caregivers Eldercare Series, the MGH Geriatric Medicine Unit will offer “Memory Loss: Causes and Treatments” July 24, from 5:15 to 6:30 pm in the Blum Center. Cornelia Cremens, MD, MGH geriatric psychiatrist, will present. For more information, call (617) 726-4612.

Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will offer hypertension screenings and blood pressure checks July 23, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the West End Library. The MGH Senior HealthWISE film series will host a free screening of “Dreamgirls” July 25, from 2 to 4:30 pm in the Haber Conference Room. Light snacks will be provided. Registration is required. Emergency Preparedness Day
MGH Emergency Preparedness will host an Emergency Preparedness Day information table July 25, from 7 am to 5 pm in the Main Corridor. All MGH employees, patients and visitors are invited to stop by and learn about preparing for emergencies at work and home, view a sample emergency kit, find resources for emergency planning and learn about basic steps to disaster preparedness for MGHers. The event also will include free giveaways, raffles and prizes.

Clinics corridor to MEEI closes July 20
The first floor corridor from the MGH Main Lobby through the Clinics Building to the MEEI will close permanently at the end of the day July 20. This is the last step in closing the Clinics and Vincent Burnham Kennedy buildings prior to their demolitions in the fall. Access to the MEEI is available for clinical traffic only via the newly opened MGH-MEEI Clinical Connector Bridge accessible from Founders 2.
