Senior HealthWISE events
The MGH Senior HealthWISE lecture series will host
"Creating Space: Some Ideas About Organizing One's Home and Letting
Go" June 14, from 11 am to noon in the Haber Conference Room. Cristina
Sorrentino, LICSW, PhD, of the Boston University School of Social Work,
will present. Senior HealthWISE also will offer free hypertension screenings
and blood pressure checks June 18, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm in the West End
Civic Association Community Room, One Emerson Place. For more information,

MGH Men Against Abuse Father's Day event
MGH Men Against Abuse will host its third annual
Father's Day event June 12. The day will begin with a service in the MGH
Chapel on Ellison 1 from 9 to 10 am to acknowledge the positive role men
can play to help eliminate domestic violence. The group also will host
an information table in the Main Corridor from 10 am to 2 pm to share
information and educational materials about domestic violence. For more

Boston Health and Fitness Expo
Partners HealthCare and Channel 7/CW 56 will host
the Boston Health and Fitness Expo June 23 and 24 at the Hynes Convention
Center in Boston. This free event is open to the community and will feature
health tests and screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations, interactive
sports and fitness activities, celebrity guests and more. For more information,

World Blood Donor Day
In honor of World Blood Donor Day June 14, the MGH
Blood Donor Center will offer a free pizza lunch to those who give blood
on that day. The Blood Donor Center is located in the Gray Lobby and is
open for whole blood donations Tuesday through Thursday, from 7:30 am
to 5:30 pm and Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Walk-ins are welcome.

have relocated
MGH Volunteer and Interpreter Services have moved from the Clinics Building
to the Gray Bigelow Building, Suite 015. All phone numbers remain the

NAAAP professional development workshop
Through a collaboration with the National Association of Asian-American
Professionals, MGH Training and Workforce Development will offer a professional
development workshop, "Communicating with Confidence," June
26, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Simches Center, Room 3110. The workshop
will help participants strengthen frequently used skills such as participating
in meetings, improving personal confidence, increasing the effectiveness
of phone and e-mail conversations, and controlling nervousness. Lau Lapides,
a coach and trainer with the Speech Improvement Company, Inc., will present.
