Score
a touchdown for hand hygiene in slogan contest
The MGH STOP (Stop Transmission of Pathogens) Task Force is sponsoring
a contest to identify a slogan that employees can use to remind each other
to practice proper hand hygiene. The task force invites all MGHers to
submit their ideas. The contest winner will receive a football autographed
by Richard Seymour of the New England Patriots.
David
Hooper, MD, chief of the Infection Control Unit, displays the prize football.
Only MGH employees can enter the contest. All entrants should consider
the following guidelines:
- The slogan can be a single word, a phrase or a complete sentence.
- It should be distinct and not easily confused with other common
terms or medical phrases.
- It should be thoughtful and discreet, so as not to cause embarrassment
or concern.
The deadline for entries is July 1. All entries must include the employee's
name, ID number, department and phone number and/or e-mail address. Ideas
can be sent via interoffice mail to the Infection Control Unit, Bulfinch
330; by e-mail to jtarselli@partners.org or hschleicher@partners.org;
or dropped off in the special "Hand Hygiene Slogan Contest"
entry box located at the information desk across from Coffee Central.
The winner will be selected by members of the Infection Control Unit and
the STOP Task Force.
