Saving for the future: Retirement planning events

Planning for retirement is an important process, but one that can be difficult to navigate. During the months of May and June, the MGH will offer a number of planning events and seminars to assist employees in learning about the resources available at the MGH to help them save for retirement. Below is a schedule of upcoming events.

Tax-Sheltered Annuity Fairs
Representatives from Fidelity, TIAA-Cref and Vanguard will be available to discuss tax-sheltered annuities (TSAs), which can help employees build retirement savings and reduce current taxes. Unlike most other benefits that only can be changed during the open enrollment period, contributions to TSAs can be changed anytime during the year.

Financial Planning Seminars

May 23, from 9 to 10 am in the Burr ConferenceRooms — Vanguard
May 23, from noon to 1 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium — Fidelity
May 23, from 2 to 3 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium — TIAA-Cref

MGH Cash Balance Retirement Plan and Retiree Medical Program Sessions
These sessions will provide an overview of the MGH Cash Balance Retirement Plan and the Retiree Medical Program. Topics such as eligibility considerations and plan costs will be covered.

June 6, from 2 to 3 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium
