MGH history tour spring/summer schedule
The MGH Office for Visitor Education Programs offers history tours of the MGH on the third Friday of every month from 12:30 to 1:45 pm. The spring and summer 2007 tour dates are May 18, June 15, July 20 and Aug. 17. Tours begin in the White Lobby and are limited to 25 people and registration is required. Eldercare discussion group
The Employee Assistance Program will host its monthly eldercare discussion group

2007 Collins Lecture Series
As part of the 2007 Collins Lecture Series, the MGH Department of Radiation Oncology will host "Endothelial and Epithelial Cell Apoptosis in the Acute Radiation Syndrome and During Radiation Therapy" May 8, from 5 to 6:15 pm in the Ether Dome. Methods in Bioengineering Conference
The MGH Center for Engineering in Medicine and the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology will co-host the second annual Methods in Bioengineering Conference July 12 and 13 in the Kresge Auditorium at MIT. The conference will cover current state-of-the-art technologies in BioMEMS, regenerative medicine, functional imaging, opto-electronics and cellular modeling. Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host a guided tour of the Howard Ulfelder, MD, Healing Garden on the eighth floor of the Yawkey Center May 14, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Zervas Lecture
The eighth annual Nicholas T. Zervas, MD, Lecture, "The Molecular Basis for IGF Deficiency" will be held May 15 at noon in the Ether Dome. Ron G. Support Service Employee Grant information session
MGH Training and Workforce Development will host a Support Service Employee Grant information session May 9, from 11 am to 1 pm outside the Eat Street Café. The grant is open to eligible non-exempt employees working in clinical, technical, service and clerical positions. Summer Jobs Programs
Part-time summer help is available for MGH departments through two MGH Community Benefit youth employment programs: SummerWorks and Jobs for Youth. Students from the James P. Timilty Middle School, East Boston High School and the Health Careers Academy spend 25 hours per week at the hospital, Monday through Friday, from early July through the end of August. The programs are supported by an on-site manager who works closely with participating departments and student employees.
