  • Marathon Monday: MGHers rack up the miles for the MGHfC
    Despite the cold, rainy, raw spring day, MGH staff and supporters running the April 16 Boston Marathon held up their commitment to finishing the world-famous race to help raise money for cancer and cystic fibrosis programs at the MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC).
  • Redstone donates $35M for MGH research and patient care
    The MGH is one of three health care organizations to benefit from a $105 million gift from Sumner M. Redstone, executive chairman of Viacom and CBS Corporation, to fund research and patient care advancements in burn recovery and cancer. The generous $35 million contribution is the largest single gift in the MGH's history and will be paid out over five years.
  • New Harvard department aligns cross-school strengths
    Reflecting a new era of cross-school collaboration, Harvard University's governing body has approved the establishment of the Department of Developmental and Regenerative Biology — the first academic department in the university's 371-year history to be based in more than one of the university's schools.
  • Diabetes Self Management programs offered
    Six of the MGH's outpatient practices — the Bulfinch Medical Group, Chelsea HealthCare Center, Diabetes Associates, Internal Medicine Associates, Revere HealthCare Center and Women's Health Associates — now offer Diabetes Self Management Education (DSME) programs for adult patients.
  • New Health and Fitness Expo: A showcase for MGH caregivers
    Channel 7/CW 56 and Partners HealthCare are coming together June 23 and 24 for an exciting new event — the Health and Fitness Expo at Boston's Hynes Convention Center. Open to the community, this free event will give MGH caregivers and staff the opportunity to showcase the innovative services available at the hospital.
