2007 Collins Lecture Series
As part of the 2007 Collins Lecture Series, the MGH
Department of Radiation Oncology will host "Optical and MR Molecular
Imaging Approaches" March 27, from 5 to 6:15 pm in the Ether Dome.

IHP clinical investigation program
The MGH Institute
of Health Professions (IHP) is accepting applications for its graduate
program in Clinical Investigation. Students can earn a master of science
degree or a certificate of advanced study. Courses include Designing Clinical
Research Statistics for Clinical Research and Law and Health Policy Governing
Clinical Investigation. The deadline to apply is April 15. For more information

Issues in International Research
The MGH Clinical
Research Program and the Partners Human Research Committee
are co-sponsoring "Issues in International Research" April 5,
from 4 to 5 pm in the Simches Center, Room 3110. Elizabeth Hohmann, MD,
director of the Partners Institutional Review Board (IRB), will discuss
issues related to IRB review of research in other countries. The lecture
qualifies for physician AMA Category 1 credit and 1.2 contact hours of

Senior HealthWISE events
The MGH
Senior HealthWISE film series will offer a screening of "Casino
Royale" March 27, from 1 to 3:30 pm in the Haber Conference Room.
Senior HealthWISE also will offer hypertension screenings and blood pressure
checks at the West End Library, 151 Cambridge St., Boston. Both events
are free for seniors age 60 years or older. Registration is required for

CFD noontime learning series
The MGH
Center for Faculty Development's (CFD) noontime learning series will
offer "What is Your Retirement Number?" April 4, from noon to
1:30 pm in the Yawkey Center, Room 10660. Guest speakers Debbie Levenson,
CFP, MBA, and Daniel Traub, MBA, both of Braver Wealth Management, will
discuss how to estimate retirement goals, ways to increase the chances
of reaching those goals and tools to monitor progress. For more information
