Eighth
annual Partners Physicians Day
A record number of physicians from across the Partners HealthCare system
attended the eighth annual Partners Physicians Day Feb. 10 at the Boston
Sheraton Hotel. James J. Mongan, MD, president and chief executive officer
of Partners, began the day with a Partners update. He was followed by
world-renowned AIDS expert Bruce D. Walker, MD, director of the Partners
AIDS Research Center, who gave the keynote address, "The AIDS Crisis:
Twenty-five Years and Counting." The program also included special
in-depth sessions on a variety of topics, such as "Global Health
in 2007: HIV, TB and the Global Response" and "New Treatment
Strategies in Cancer."
