Internet safety seminar
MGH Police and Security will host a free "Child and Adult Internet
Safety" seminar
March 21, from 1 to 2 pm in the Thier Conference Room. Matt Thomas, senior
investigator for Police and Security, will discuss issues such as hacking,
software piracy, identity theft and child abductions. The seminar is free.

Menopause program
Beginning March 22, the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine
at MGH will offer a 10-week program, "Mind Over Menopause,"
Thursdays from 4:30 to 7 pm. Participants will learn self-care skills
to help them deal with symptoms of menopause and perimenopause. The program
is covered by most insurances, and there is a $150 self-pay fee for programs
and materials not billable to insurance. For more information or to register,

Daylight-saving time reminder
Daylight-saving time begins March 11. Employees should check their Outlook
calendar entries for the next three weeks to confirm they are accurate.
Although all Partners network desktops and servers have been patched to
accommodate the time change, some events may still be off by one hour.
Employees responsible for
managing a public folder calendar for conference rooms must manually adjust
all entries for the weeks of March 11 through April 1 and Oct. 28 through
Nov. 4. Instructions are available at helpdesk.partners.org/.

Seminars in problem-based biostatistics
The MGH Clinical Research Program is offering "Seminars in Problem-Based
Biostatistics for Physiologic Investigators" March 28, April 4, 11

Last call for submissions for Clinical Research
Day
The MGH Clinical Research Program invites investigators to submit abstracts
for Clinical Research Day, which will be held May 17. Abstracts must be
on clinical research and unpublished at the time of submission. Two individual
awards of $1,000, one translational research award of $1,500 and one team
award of $5,000 will be presented for the best clinical research abstracts.
A number of departmental prizes also will be awarded. The submission deadline

Mind/body infertility workshops
The MGH Fertility Center is offering free mind/body infertility workshops
March 20 and 27 and April 3 and 10, from 5:15 to 7:15 pm. The workshops
are for individuals and couples dealing with infertility and will cover
teaching, discussion and practice of meditation and other techniques.

AARP employee survey
The MGH is again applying for the AARP's annual list of the 50 best employers
for workers over 50. As a part of the application process, the MGH will
distribute a survey to a random sample of employees age 40 years or older.
The 15-minute survey will be distributed March 9 through e-mail and the
deadline to complete it is March 23. Those employees without e-mail access
will be sent a letter with instructions about how to take the survey at
either the Employee Access Center on Clinics 117 or by using a Partners
computer workstation.
Senior HealthWISE exercise class
MGH Senior HealthWISE will offer a one-hour exercise class "Get Warm,
Stay Fit" March 15, from 11 am to 1 pm at The Clubs at Charles River
Park. Lunch will be served. Registration is required. The class is free
