Call for nominations for
community service awards
The Office for Diversity and Community Partnership at Harvard Medical
School (HMS) is requesting nominations for the 2007 Dean's Community Service
Awards, which were established to recognize HMS faculty, students, trainees
and staff who have made outstanding personal efforts in serving the local,
national or international community. Guidelines and nomination forms are
available at www.mfdp.med.harvard.edu/awards/csa.

Cell sorting and analysis services available
The Flow Cytometry Facility at the Cutaneous Biology Research Center currently
has time available to provide cell sorting and analysis services to the
MGH research community. The center is located at CNY 149. For more information

Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will offer hypertension and blood pressure screenings
March 5, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Hill House, 127 Mt. Vernon St. The
Senior HealthWISE lecture series will host "Exercise and Aging"
March 8, from 11 am to noon in the Haber Conference Room with guest speaker
Sandy Connor, a trainer at The Clubs at Charles River Park. Both events
are free for seniors age 60 years and older. For more information, call

Call for abstract submissions for Clinical
Research Day
The MGH Clinical Research Program invites investigators to submit abstracts
for Clinical Research Day, which will be held May 17. Abstracts must be
on clinical research and unpublished at the time of submission. Two individual
awards of $1,000, one translational research award of $1,500 and one team
award of $5,000 will be presented for the best clinical research abstracts.
A number of departmental prizes also will be awarded. The abstract submission
deadline is March 16. Abstracts may be submitted online at crp.abstractcentral.com.

EAP manager and supervisor training sessions
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will offer a training course for
managers and supervisors regarding the use of the EAP as a resource to
assist with behavioral, mental health and substance abuse concerns March
6, from 9 to 11 am in the Haber Conference Room. Additional sessions will
be held June 7, Sept. 13 and Dec. 4. Light refreshments will be served.
