Mass General West mammography services
The MGH Department of Radiology now offers digital screening mammography services at Mass General West in Waltham. The Mass General West Women's Imaging Suite is open Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Exams can be scheduled using Radiology Order Entry (ROE), which can be accessed by typing mghroe into the URL address of any Partners computer. EAP seminar on credit reports
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will host "Understanding Your Credit Report and Protecting Your Credit" Jan. 18, from noon to 1 pm in the Thier Conference Room. Representatives from Consumer Credit Counseling Services will discuss how to understand a credit report, protecting credit history and other topics. Conference on ethical dilemmas of caregiving
The MGH Institute of Health Professions, the Patient Care Services Institute for Patient Care and the Ethics in Clinical Practice Committee will co-sponsor "Maintaining Compassionate Care: Strategies to Prepare Family-Professional Caregiver Teams for Ethical Dilemmas of Caregiving in Times of Uncertainty" Feb. 8 and 9. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration
Partners HealthCare, the MGH and the MGH Disparities Solutions Center will co-host "A Celebration of the Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr." Jan. 19, from 3 to 4 pm in the Simches Center, third floor conference center. A reception will be held from 4 to 5 pm in the Simches foyer. Claflin Awards applications
Applications for the 2007 Claflin Distinguished Scholars Awards now are available for women researchers interested in supplemental funding. The awards are sponsored by the MGH Office for Women's Careers and the Executive Committee on Research. To qualify, applicants must be MDs or PhDs within seven years of their first faculty appointment and with Harvard Medical School appointments. They also must be responsible for the care of children. Applications are due by Feb. 16 and should be sent to Research Management, Grants and Contracts Office at 50 Staniford St., 10th floor, Suite 1001. Senior HealthWISE events
The MGH Senior HealthWISE lecture series will offer "Memoir Writing" Jan. 18, from 11 am to noon in the Haber Conference Room. Chris Castellani, director of the Grub Street Writing Center, will be the guest speaker.
