Senior HealthWISE aerobics class
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host a "Get Warm, Stay Fit" aerobics
class and lunch Dec. 7, from 11 am to 1 pm at The Clubs at Charles River

MGHfC launches website
The MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC) recently
launched a new website, located at www2.massgeneral.org/children.
The site includes a 360-degree virtual tour, an interactive map, a physician
directory and child and adolescent health encyclopedias.
MGH history tours
The MGH Office for Visitor Education Programs offers history tours of
the hospital on the third Friday of each month, from 12:30 to 1:45 pm.
Participants meet in the White Lobby, and stops include the Bulfinch Building,
the Ether Dome and the old wharf and pilings. Tours are limited to 25
people, and registration is required. To register, e-mail name and department

Senior HealthWISE community service day
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host "CareWISE," a community service
day, Dec. 11. Session one will be from 9:30 am to noon and session two
will be from 1 to 4 pm. Lunch will be served from noon to 1 pm. Registration

Wellman Center lecture
The MGH Wellman Center for Photomedicine will host "In Vivo Peptide
Mediated Fluorescence Imaging" Dec. 5, from 2:15 to 3:15 pm in the
Thier Conference Room. A coffee reception will begin at 2 pm. Thomas D.
Wang, MD, PhD, clinical instructor in the Bio-X Program at Stanford University,

MGPO meeting
David Torchiana, MD, chairman and chief executive officer of the Massachusetts
General Physicians Organization (MGPO), will host an MGPO meeting Dec.
7, from 5 to 6:30 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium to explain the new Quality
Incentive Program and the results of the most recent MGPO survey of the
performance of the clinical departments. James Mongan, MD, president and
chief executive officer of Partners HealthCare, also will give a Partners

R. William Gange Lecture
The MGH Department of Dermatology and the Wellman Center for Photomedicine
will co-host the 15th annual R. William Gange Lecture Dec. 7, from 4 to
5 pm in the Simches Research Center, Room 3110. Ervin Epstein, Jr., MD,
clinical professor in the Department of Dermatology at San Francisco General

MGH Outpatient Pharmacy expands Saturday
hours
The MGH Outpatient Pharmacy has expanded its Saturday hours to 3 pm to
accommodate discharge patients. Additionally, during the month of December,
any MGH employee who fills a new prescription at the pharmacy will receive
a $5 coupon for the Eat Street Café or Coffee Central. The pharmacy
is located in the WACC on the first floor and is open Monday through Friday,
from 9 am to 5:30 pm; Saturday, from 9 am to 3 pm; and Sundays and holidays,
from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
Career workshop for nursing students
MGH Human Resources will offer a career workshop for hospital employees
who are enrolled in a nursing program and plan to graduate in May 2007.
It will include a panel discussion about careers in nursing, career coaching,
interviewing tips and other advice to help MGH employees with the nursing
career search process. The workshop will be held in January and is invitation-only.

PIE Awards ceremony
The 11th annual Partners in Excellence (PIE) Awards ceremony will be held
Dec.19 at 3 pm in the WACC Lobby. The celebration will include a ceremony
recognizing all MGH individual and team recipients, a video presentation
