MGH employee bonus program is implemented

Because of the hard work of staff and employees throughout the institution, the MGH performed well during fiscal year 2006, beating its margin target and paving the way for a hospitalwide employee bonus program.For the second year in a row, the hospital has implemented the bonus program as a way to recognize employees' contributions to the hospital's success. The bonus, which is taxable, appeared in employees' paychecks Nov. 16. The chart below describes bonus eligibility requirements and the amount for staff.

For employees hired between March 31, 2006 or before:

Full time (30-40 hours/week): $500.00
Part time (20-29 hours/week): $250.00
Per diems, Bulfinch temps,
less than 20 standard hours
who worked 400 hours
or more in FY 06: $125.00

For employees hired between April 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006:

Full time (30-40 hours/week): $250.00
Part time (20-29 hours/week): $125.00
Per diems, Bulfinch temps,
less than 20 standard hours
who worked 400 hours
or more in FY 06: $125.00
