Storybook Ball a fabulous success

MGH employees and friends joined Cinderella and her guests long before the clock struck midnight at the seventh annual MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC) Storybook Ball. More than 500 guests — some sporting costume masks — attended the event Oct. 14 at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel in support of life-saving research and patient care initiatives at the MGHfC. The Cinderella-themed masked ball raised nearly $3 million for MGHfC initiatives, including critical support for autism-focused programs, new systems for Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation and the establishment of a multidisciplinary clinic for survivors of childhood cancer. This year's event chairs were Susanne Joyce, Simone Winston and Patty Ribakoff (above, from left) and the evening's honorary chair was Abner Kurtin.
