When
it comes to the flu, caring means not sharing
The MGH Occupational Health Service will kickoff its annual flu vaccination
campaign Oct. 30 at the Tea Leaves & Coffee Beans Café in the
WACC. It is recommended that all MGH and Partners HealthCare employees,
staff and volunteers be vaccinated. Employees must bring an MGH or Partners
ID badge and wear clothing that rolls easily up to the top of the arm.
All those who receive a flu shot automatically will be entered into a
raffle to win a team-signed New England Revolution soccer ball or jersey.
Latex-free vaccines should be available, but those interested should call
the Occupational Health Service at (617) 726-2217 prior to attending the
clinics noted below.
For those unable to attend the clinics, the Occupational Health Service
will schedule appointments beginning Nov. 6. Walk-in service also will
be offered every Thursday, starting Nov. 9, from 10:30 am to 5 pm at 165
Charles River Plaza, Suite 404.
MGHers can stop the spread of germs this season not only by being vaccinated
but also by always covering their mouths and noses when sneezing and coughing
and by keeping hands clean by regularly washing with soap and water or
using an alcohol-based hand cleanser such as Cal Stat.
