MGH
wins again in blood
drive
challenge
The MGH has achieved its seventh straight win in the annual MGH/BWH Employee
Blood Drive Challenge, which was held Aug. 22 through Sept. 8. During
the three-week competition, the MGH Blood Donor Center had 181 employee
donations, reaching 66 percent of its challenge goal of 275 donations.
Each year, the MGH and BWH participate in the challenge to encourage employees
at both hospitals to help patients by donating blood around Labor Day,
when donation rates traditionally are low.

Downey, Kathleen Feeney, Kathleen Harrington, Michele Sperounis, Josh
Cruz, Katie Hutton, Maura Quinn, Susan Prince, Robin Ryther, Greg Moulton,

Additionally, all those who donated during the months of July and August
automatically were entered to win two free tickets on JetBlue Airlines.
