Fun
summer exercise for seniors
The
MGH Senior HealthWISE program hosted a free water aerobics class for seniors
at The Clubs at Charles River Plaza July 17. Water aerobics is a low-impact
form of exercise that is supportive of joints and muscles and revitalizes
energy, which is particularly beneficial for seniors — especially
those with arthritis and back problems. Abby Burden, an active HealthWISE
member, says, "This class is wonderful, it is vibrant, social and
so much fun."
Above, Michael Sterby led the lively
group of seniors through the water to the energizing sounds of Latin music.
