Methods
in Bioengineering Conference
More than 300 scientific leaders from across the world gathered at MIT
July 17 for the first annual Methods in Bioengineering Conference, which
was co-hosted by the MGH Center
for Engineering in Medicine and the Harvard-MIT Division of Health
Sciences and Technology. The conference focused on leading methodology
used in the fields of biomaterials, tissue engineering, stem cells and
genomics and showcased state-of-the-art technology from three centers
funded by the National Institutes of Health the MGH BioMEMS Resource Center;
the Center for Integrated Polymeric Biomaterials at Rutgers University;
and the Tissue Engineering Resource Center at Tufts University, Columbia
University and MIT. Other sponsors of the event were The Annual Reviews
of Biomedical Engineering, BOSE and the journal Tissue Engineering.
