Senior HealthWISE events
The MGH Senior HealthWISE lecture series will host "Sleep" June
27, from 11 am to noon in the Walcott Conference Rooms. Kenneth Minaker,
MD, will discuss the importance of sleep, challenges for older adults
and self-management strategies for sleep disorders. Senior HealthWISE
also is offering free hypertension screenings and a discussion about self-management
strategies June 28, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the West End Civic Association

Methods in Bioengineering conference
The MGH Center for Engineering in Medicine and the Harvard-MIT Division
of Health Sciences and Technology are co-hosting the first Methods in
Bioengineering Conference July 17 and 18, at the Kresge Auditorium at
MIT. The conference will focus on cutting-edge methodology used in the
fields of biomaterials, tissue engineering, stem cells and genomics. For

Blood Donor Center sundae party
The MGH Blood Donor Center will offer all whole blood and platelet donors
free ice cream sundaes July 5 and 6. Sundaes will be served from 11 am
to 5 pm, and those who donate before 11 am will receive coupons to have
sundaes later in the day. The Blood Donor Center is located in the Gray
Lobby. Appointments are encouraged, and walk-ins are welcome. For more
