Marjorie Hodges, training coordinator for the MGH Department of Medicine, received the L. James Wiczai Award for Leadership, Excellence and Innovation in Medical Education from Harvard Medical School (HMS). The award honors a staff member from an HMS-affiliated hospital who fosters innovation and excellence in medical education and promotes collaboration between HMS and its affiliated hospitals.

Charles McCabe, MD, of MGH Emergency Services, was selected by students in the Harvard Medical School (HMS) Class of 2006 to receive the Clinical Teaching Award and the Overall Best Teacher Award. Kate Treadway, MD, of MGH Internal Medicine, received the HMS Humanism in Medicine Teaching Award.

Four MGH nurses recently were honored at Nursing Spectrum's 2006 Excellence Awards ceremony. Jean Stewart, RN, of White 6, was chosen as the winner in the Clinical Care category; Susan Tully, RN, of Ellison 4, was the winner in the Management category; Diane Carroll, RN, PhD, of White 8, was a finalist in the Teaching category; and Adele Keeley, RN, of Blake 7, was a finalist in the Advancing and Leading the Profession category.
