New medication information website
The MGH Medication, Education, Safety and Approvals Committee (MESAC) recently launched a new website to provide information about the safe prescription and distribution of medications. The site, located at intranet.massgeneral.org/mesac, includes guidelines for clinical practice, tools for calculating drug dosages and links to online continuing education sources.

Call for clinical research abstracts
The MGH Clinical Research program invites investigators to submit abstracts for MGH Clinical Research Day May 25. Three individual prizes of $1,000 and one team prize of $5,000 will be awarded. Abstracts must be about clinical research and unpublished at the time of submission. Abstracts may be submitted online until March 17 at crp.abstractcentral.com. Senior HealthWISE lecture
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host a lecture about maintaining a healthy heart Feb. 28, from 11 am to noon in the Walcott Conference Rooms. Dorothy Noyes, NP, of MGH Cardiology, will present. For more information, call (617) 724-6756.

Tax information session for international employees
The Partners International Office is sponsoring a tax information session for employees with dependent visas March 6, from 1 to 4 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. Topics will include federal and state filing requirements for foreign nationals, proper forms to be used for filing, sample tax returns, tax treaties and tax obligations based on visa type.
