Requests for
security access goes electronic
To better serve the MGH and Partners community, MGH Police,
Security and Outside Services is shifting from paper forms to electronic
submissions for all employees who wish to have their photo ID badges programmed
for access to secure/restricted areas.
The new paperless system will use a request-for-access form obtained on
the Police and Security website located at www.mghpolice.com.
Authorized access granters, who have been selected in advance to represent
their departments, can visit this website to select the form and follow
the step-by-step instructions. Granters then can e-mail the requests for
the appropriate areas to mghphotoIDcampussatellites@partners.org
for off-site locations, or to MGHphotoIDmaincampus@partners.org
for on-campus locations. Once the programming has been completed, the
requester will receive an e-mail confirming access.
In addition, new employees now can receive pre-programmed access when
they first receive their photo ID. Managers of new employees will receive
an e-mail from Human Resources with instructions and a link to the online
request form. Requests must be submitted by 4 pm on the Thursday before
new employee orientation to be held the following Monday.
If access is required at both the main campus and at CNY or other off-site
locations, the request should be sent to the predominant request location.
For example, if a researcher is based at CNY but also works at the Simches
Research Center, the predominant access would be at CNY, and the form
should be submitted to mghphotoIDcampussatellites@partners.org.
For more information, call (617) 724-9339 for access on Main Campus or
(617) 724-3031 for CNY and other off-site locations.
