Leadership from occupational, physical and speech therapy services have been hosting educational events throughout the Partners network to increase communication and discuss current issues and practices.

"It is important for our therapists collectively to investigate the types of therapy services that are provided across Partners and discuss the direction we should take to provide the highest quality of patient care," says Jeanette Ives Erickson, RN, MS, senior vice president for MGH Patient Care Services and chief nurse.

The most recent event, at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, was held to discuss current practice issues in speech language pathology. The next educational event, focusing on occupational therapy, will take place in the fall.
