Health Center celebrates expansion The MGH helped the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center (EBNHC) celebrate its recent addition of a new wing at a rededication ceremony Oct. 29. The new wing is a 25,000-square-foot expansion of the health center, which includes new clinical space and waiting areas. The wing has been in use since June. Licensed by Boston Medical Center, EBNHC is the largest health center in Massachusetts. In 1996, the MGH launched a joint venture with EBNHC, collaborating on a number of efforts to improve the health of East Boston residents. The MGH, BWH and Partners funded the recent building expansion. "The MGH is proud to join Boston Medical Center in supporting the health center's commitment to innovation and quality," said James J. Mongan, MD, MGH president. "I look forward to our future together in making East Boston one of the healthiest communities in the state." |
