Treadwell librarian receives award

32699Bastille.jpg (14477 bytes)Jackie Bastille, director of the MGH Treadwell Library recently was selected to receive The Award for Excellence and Achievement in Hospital Librarianship from the Medical Library Association. The award recognizes one individual each year for his or her significant accomplishments, continuing excellence and leadership of hospital libraries. Bastille will be presented with a $500 cash prize and certificate at the organization's annual meeting in Chicago this May.

After 25 years of leadership at the Treadwell, Bastille will retire from the MGH March 31. Colleagues, friends and family gathered to recognize her for her many contributions to the MGH and to say goodbye at a special open house event March 19 in the Walcott Conference Rooms.
