MGHers needed to judge
student science projects The MGH/Timilty Partnership seeks MGHers to judge student projects for the annual science fair at the James P. Timilty Middle School in Roxbury. Volunteers are needed for the semifinal round of judging, which takes place at the school Feb. 1 to 4, 9 to 11 am, beginning with the eighth grade on Monday and finishing with the sixth grade on Thursday. Faculty from the Timilty's Science Department will select the finalists Feb. 5. Students, who for the past four months have been developing projects with assistance from their MGH mentors, will display their work at the hospital Jan. 29, 9:30 to 11:30 am, in the Main Corridor. The Science Fair Mentoring Program, sponsored by the MGH Community Benefit Office, receives major funding from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
