BWH names new chief
medical officer
Whittemore, who trained at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in 1976 and became a member of the medical staff in 1979, will serve as the link between the hospital administration and medical staff as well as lead BWH's care improvement and quality assurance efforts related to physician and medical staff issues. "Dr. Whittemore is an eminently accomplished and talented physician," says Jeffrey Otten, BWH president. "Equally, he has demonstrated remarkable success as an administrative leader during his tenure at BWH. Such a combination makes him well suited for the chief medical officer's position." |
