MGH pediatrician in
spotlight for Black History Month
The presentation will feature a talk by Beal, entitled "Black Parenting: A Model for Child Health in the New Millennium," and a raffle for her book. The event takes place Feb. 10, noon to 1:30 pm, at the Learning and Diversity Office, 185 Cambridge St., Charles River Plaza. Lunch will be served. The Black Parenting Book is the first comprehensive guide for mothers and fathers caring for African-American children from infancy to preschool years. Beal also writes the parenting column, "Doctor's in the House" for Essence magazine. For more information about the Black History Month event, call 4-0928. |
